So, you can pick the one that works best for you. Whether you’re a fan of CBD wax dabs or you would rather do edibles, we’ve got you covered. And, today we’re talking about what may be one of the most indulgent edibles we’ve covered yet. Yes, we’re diving into the realm of CBD Chocolates. Get ready to please your sweet tooth while you unwind.
Now, we’d love to talk to you about the Best CBD Chocolates out there, but as far as we can tell, this is still a relatively new trend. And, that means there really aren’t so many different products to choose from at the moment. Therefore, we’ll just be highlighting a couple companies we’ve heard about. And, we’ll be discussing one similar product that you can find on Amazon that might not break your budget as much as CBD might. So, without further ado, let’s jump into what we know about CBD Chocolates.
CBD Chocolates: What They Are
When you think chocolates, you might think about cracking open a giant heart-shaped box for Valentine’s Day. (Wouldn’t it be a chill Valentine’s Day if you and your date popped a CBD Chocolate or two before hitting the latest rom-com?) And, while that sounds awesome, CBD Chocolates right now are a little more about indulgence in minimal doses. Perhaps, you could say that the chocolate remains a vehicle for the CBD, rather than the CBD just being an added part of the chocolate.
So, what we mean by that is that you probably don’t want to stuff a handful of CBD Chocolates in your mouth the way you could with regular chocolate. (We here at CBD Cop definitely don’t over-indulge on chocolate ever, right guys?) Rather, it seems these products are meant for you to pop just one morsel and call it a day. However, we’re going to throw in our disclaimer now that you should absolutely check with your doctor before you start taking CBD. Now, let’s take a look at some of our Top CBD Chocolates brands that we’ve found today.
CBD Chocolates: Not Pot CBD Chocolate Hearts
Yes, this brand really goes by the name “Not Pot.” (We like it. Straight to the point.) And, we found that this product must be fairly well-known among the CBD Chocolates out there, since it snagged a spotlight review by a famous online content site. We not only found this review, but we also went to their website. They claim that their CBD chocolate hearts will help you find your chill. And, they also say that their product is NOT psychoactive, because it contains industrial hemp-derived CBD, not THC. If you need a refresher on the difference between CBD and THC, make sure to check out some of our other posts for a brush-up.
What’s a little bit sweeter even is that this chocolate only has seven ingredients, is vegan, soy-free, and organic. According to the review we read, each chocolate is one dose. Yes, you are supposed to eat just ONE Not Pot CBD Chocolate per day. However, each chocolate reportedly only contains two (2) milligrams of CBD. That’s a very light dose, which means this chocolate could be suitable for CBD newbies. However, that also means that each milligram of CBD is going to cost you fifty cents, since a 30-chocolate jar costs $30. Still, we’ve heard these CBD Chocolates might just be worth it.
CBD Chocolates: Sakara CBD
This is another brand that we saw getting reviewed on a different, but still rather large, online content site. Actually, Sakara was a known brand before they dove into the realm of cannabis products. And, that might be why their product seems very understated. If you go to their website, you’ll find a slew of similarly-packaged products, ranging from “beauty chocolates” to vegan bars. As for the Cannabidiol Chocolate, they seem very similar to Not Pot CBD Chocolates. They also contain two milligrams of CBD per chocolate, except this product will set you back $39 instead of $30 (for the same amount of product). Oh, and there’s one final catch — we could not find this product anywhere.
We scoured the Sakara website and even looked on Amazon when an obscure consumer question to their Facebook team directed us there. But, at the moment, we seriously can’t locate this product. Now, this could be because the review we saw on this product came out at the end of 2016, right around when the DEA launched stricter regulations on CBD. But, still — we have to wonder if Sakara dropped the product. In any case, rest assured that Not Pot brand seems very similar and you can still seek out Sakara for a ton of other products.
CBD Chocolates: Care By Design Cannabis-Inflused Dark Chocolates
We started off this article by suggesting that CBD Chocolates could be interesting Valentine’s Day fare. Now, it’s time to take a walk on the wild side. We found the Care By Design site right away and noticed that this product is a little different from the others. Basically, this product doesn’t shy away from the THC — in fact, it’s advertised proudly.
Now, before you freak out, there are two different products here. One is a for-daytime chocolate with a CBD:THC ratio of 18:1. The other is a for-nighttime chocolate with a CBD:THC ratio of 2:1. So, basically the first chocolate is not supposed to be psychoactive when taken in the suggested amount. Whereas, the second chocolate will be psychoactive. We highly recommend that you check with your doctor before you try this product. That is, if you can get your hands on this product — these CBD Chocolates seem to only be for sale in California at the moment.
CBD Chocolates: ½ Baked Brownzzz (Not CBD)
We know we mentioned that we’d be talking about a product on Amazon that won’t quite set you out as much as some of these CBD Chocolates might. That’s why we’ve waited at the end to mention this relaxation brownie. It doesn’t contain CBD, which means it’s not quite as expensive. Instead, it claims to help you relax with a variety of herbal infusions, including chamomile, lavender, valerian root, and even melatonin. A 3-pack will set you out about $15, which isn’t too bad for an artisan brownie anyway (you’d pay that much in a coffee shop). So, if the Top CBD Chocolates are a little out of your budget, don’t fret. There are still indulgent ways to relax. Might we suggest a nice bath, too?
