Hempzilla Review No ratings yet.

CBD is one of the fastest growing products in the USA, and they come in all shapes and sizes. We now have tinctures, oils, gummies, waxes, soaps, pet products, shots, and vape juices! You know the demand is high when all these different products hit the market. So today we thought we’d try to make some headway in the CBD world and check out just one of these manufacturers. This particular one is called Hempzilla. They specialize in hemp and CBD products. Today we are going to look at the difference between hemp and CBD first of all, then we will move on to the specific products that Hempzilla makes. And let me tell you, there is a whole gamut of items that are available from this company. But first we’ll need to go over some cannabidiol information.

Why Does Hempzilla Use CBD?

What exactly is CBD anyway and what does it have to do with Hempzilla? You hear about it a lot and see all kinds of CBD products, but nobody really spends the time to talk about it. Cannabidiol (CBD) is used for health and wellness purposes, but this is a rather controversial issue. There are some theoretical benefits, but the research right now hasn’t reached any definitive conclusions. For example, some studies show therapeutic effects for subjects with social anxiety disorder.

CBD is one of hundreds of chemical compounds in the cannabis sativa plant. About a hundred of these are cannabinoids, which are compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors in cells that alter neurotransmitter releases in the brain. It’s important to distinguish here between CBD and THC. THC is another well-known cannabinoid compound, but it is psychoactive, meaning that it causes a mind-altering high that some recreational users seek. CBD is non-psychoactive, however, and doesn’t come with that baggage. Though it may have medical benefits, it doesn’t cause the same effects as THC.

What Is Hempzilla?

Hempzilla is not one CBD or hemp product, but many. Let me quickly run through all the different kinds of hemp products that Hempzilla produces. They have a huge range of products including shots, gummies, vape oil, tinctures, cbd wax, raw oral syringes, and pet cbd. Before you decide which product you want, however, we need to know what hemp is and how it differs from CBD.

Sometimes manufacturers will say that they have full-spectrum CBD products. If you don’t know what that means, you are not alone. Full-spectrum CBD differs from CBD isolate. Full-spectrum means that the product includes a variety of cannabinoids from the cannabis or hemp plant, while an isolate product only uses the CBD cannabinoid.

Hempzilla Hemp Products

Hemp and CBD are often confused for each other. This is because they have similarities. For example, they both come from the cannabis sativa plant. They are derived from different strains of that genus, however, which have different cannabinoids content. Furthermore, these two oils are produced in different ways. Hemp oil is created by pressed the seeds of the hemp plant. Alternatively, CBD is extracted from flowers, leaves, and stalks.

Hempzilla Products: CBD Shot

Don’t worry, this product contains no needles. By “shot” they mean liquid shot, much like people drink wheatgrass shots. This product is in a tube. It contains an 18ml shot of a CBD blend, L-Theanine, Heneplex anhydrous Hemp oil and other flavors. According to the website description, this CBD shot is gluten free, non-GMO, and free of any pesticides, herbicides, or insecticides. They don’t claim any health benefits or any information that substantiates typical claims.

Hempzilla Products: CBD Tinctures

There is not enough room here to go through all of the products that Hempzilla offers, so we will just focus on the most popular. The CBD tincture is another option from Hempzilla Hemp Products. It comes in two flavors: strawberry lemonade and orange. You can choose your strength level. The smallest strength bottle is only $13 while the highest is nearly $170! It’s called a CBD tincture, but only insofar as CBD naturally occurs in hemp. But there is no real evidence that hemp seeds contain CBD. Hemp still has some positive nutritional facts, though, like amino acids, protein, and vitamin E. You can also read this article on the best CBD tinctures.

Hempzilla Products: Gummies

Gummies are another favorite in the CBD and Hemp community. They probably took their cue from all the vitamin manufacturers that started making vitamin gummies. The theory here is, I suppose, that people are more likely to take their vitamins when they taste like fruit snacks. The problem with the gummies is that they have extra ingredients that are unnecessary. These include things like corn syrup, sugar, and corn starch. They might taste great, but that’s not really the point. A bag of just 6 gummies costs upwards of $13.

Hempzilla Products: CBD Lotion

This is a pretty common hemp product that many people like. Whether or not there are any soothing benefits is unknown. The Hempzilla CBD Lotion contains aloe, lavender extract, and hemp oil. There are a lot of other typical skin cream ingredients as well like waxes and oils. According to the bottle, there are 2mg of naturally occurring full spectrum CBD. Out of the 200mg in this bottle, that is not much. In terms of pricing, this one might be out of reach for a lot of people. The lavender scented lotion costs $47 per bottle! You can also get a lip balm that is only about $6.

Ordering Hempzilla

If you are unsure if you want to purchase a full Hempzilla bottle, check out some of the trial products. These are not free products, but small trial-size versions of their products that are a little cheaper. For example, you can get a 35mg pouch of the CBD tincture for $13 as well as the pet CBD product. Right now it appears that those are the only two products available in this trial size. You can order any of their products online. There are a few in-store locations on the coasts, but if you are from there, they have a pretty user-friendly website to purchase products from.
