Populum CBD Review 5/5 (1)

Today we’re going to be talking about a product we’ve seen online recently called Populum CBD.  We try to make it a point to talk about new products when we see them, because we want to give you the chance to know what’s out there.  Of course, if you’re entirely new to CBD – or if you know a little bit but you want to know more – you’ve come to the right place already.  Here at CBD Cop, we’ve got articles on hottest questions and products related to CBD.  So, that means everything from CBD vape oils to CBD for pets.  If you already know everything about CBD, then you may feel like skipping the next few paragraphs.  Because, before we jump into our Populum CBD review, we’re going to touch a little on some basics about CBD products.

UPDATE 2019: While Populum CBD might not be the most popular CBD oil on the market, there is a wealth of evidence suggesting that people do like their products. Just a quick look at their site ratings can tell you that. With 375 votes and a 4.1 rating, it’s not the highest rated company we’ve seen. But, it’s still a highly rated one. We think that number (and appreciation for products) will continue to grow as time goes on. Since our initial review, Populum has released a starter kit that includes all of their available products for $135. If you’re a fanatic, you won’t want to miss this one.

Populum CBD and THC

All right, this bit is for the CBD newbies.  Because, you might be curious if products like Populum CBD contain the psychoactive compound that makes marijuana a little scary.  Well, let’s put it this way.  CBD and THC are two totally different things.  CBD stands for Cannabidiol, while THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol.  (We know, we know, it’s sounds like a bunch of jargon.)  The important thing is that these two compounds are both cannabinoids in the cannabis plant.  But, they don’t really do the same things.  THC is psychoactive, which means it affects your brain function.  However, CBD is considered non-psychoactive.  So, when a company or product like Populum CBD contains “CBD” in the name, you shouldn’t have to worry about getting the “high” effect.

Populum CBD and Hemp

Another thing that we like to talk about before we get into our reviews is the difference between CBD and hemp.  Because, these things are simultaneously the same and different.  Hemp is actually just another name for the cannabis plant.  And, that’s the same with marijuana.  But, hemp tends to be a kind of cannabis plant with less THC, while marijuana is bred for its higher THC levels.  So, when people grow hemp, it’s usually for industrial reasons.  After all, there are tons of different uses for hemp fibers.  And, hemp oil and hempseed oil are pretty widely available, too.  The thing is that when you seek out products like Populum CBD (and others), you should always double-check to see whether it actually contains CBD.  (Hemp oil and CBD oil usually come from different parts of the plant.)

Pretty often, a product may seem like it contains CBD, but it really doesn’t – or simply in negligible amounts.  And, that’s partially because real CBD isolate can cost quite a bit of money.  In fact, we’ve seen CBD isolate sell in bulk for literally thousands of dollars.  So, if you’re curious about trying CBD and hemp, but you’re not sure where to start, you might want to start with hemp.  It’s definitely less pricy.  And, while hemp won’t have all the same properties as CBD, it may have some benefits of its own.  All right, now that the basics are out of the way, let’s get back into this Populum CBD review.

Populum CBD Products

More and more companies are coming out with impressive lineups of CBD and hemp products.  And, Populum CBD seems to be no exception to that.  On their website, Populum CBD had tabs for their tinctures, pet products, and even a hemp rub, which is for topical application.  And, that’s not unlike what we’ve seen with other companies.  Like we’ve said, we’ve seen everything from CBD edibles to gummies.  There are even CBD bath bombs out there.  So, we know that a little variety is the spice of life.  However, we’re most interested in their Premium Hemp Oil product.  So, let’s move on in this Populum CBD review and get to the product we want to talk about.

Populum CBD: Populum Premium Hemp Oil

We were the most interested in the Populum CBD Premium Hemp Oil.  Because, it kind of seems like their signature product.  And, it just so happens that it comes in the “Basic,” “Signature,” and “Advanced” sizes, which are 250 Mg, 500 Mg, and 1000 Mg, respectively.  The Signature 500 says that it’s the most popular option; it contains 17 Mg of hemp extract per serving.  And, Populum CBD claims that the product is Non-GMO, Gluten Free, and 3rd Party Lab Tested.  So, you should be getting a fairly quality product here if they’re being honest.  You can also subscribe monthly to get this product every month.  However, this is one of the heftier prices we’ve seen recently, perhaps because it’s organic and uses a few different cold-pressed oils.  The Signature 500 will set you back about $115 at the current moment.

How To Order Populum CBD

If you do end up ending over to the Populum CBD website and checking out their products for yourself, rest assured that the website is pretty intuitive and clean.  And, Populum CBD has their own section for Frequently Asked Questions, which can be really helpful if you’re not sure where to start.  Their contact page also shows that they’re available via phone Monday through Friday from 9 am to 9 pm ET, and additionally on the weekend from 11 am to 5 pm, which is pretty rare for most companies.  Plus, you can chat with a live representative online on from their website on the orange tab that pops up at the bottom of the page.  That’s available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and the same weekend hours as the Populum CBD phone operations.

It looks like Populum CBD also has a respectable Veterans Assistance Program.  So, they offer U.S. military veterans a good discount, which they quote at 25 percent off the retail price.  You have to apply for the Veterans Assistance Program, but it’s still cool that they have one.  Especially, since it may be veterans who are seeking out CBD and hemp oil products in particular.  So, if you’re a veteran, check out the Populum CBD information on their VAP.

Of course, if you’re still interested in looking at other CBD and hemp products, make sure that you check out our lineup below of some related items.  And, thank you for reading CBD Cop!
