Today we’re looking for the Best CBD Salve on the market. Not only are we looking for a highly-reviewed product, we’re looking for something that presents a good value for everybody involved.
In our search, we’ve narrowed it down to two finalists; CBDol Topical CBD Salve from DBDistillery, and CBD Infused Salve from Blue Ridge Hemp Company. Let’s take a closer look at both of these products before we declare which one is the Best CBD Salve online.
Best CBD Salve | CBDol Topical CBD Salve
This CBD Salve from CBDistillery is a high quality, yet simple salve that incorporates CBD into a natural ingredient focused blend. It’s highly reviewed, with an aggregate rating of 4.3 stars from 88 reviews (via thecbdistillery.com).
The salve contains 500mg CBD per 1oz container, and is “extracted from the mature stalks and stems of the hemp plant. The company claims it’s sourced from pesticide-free and non-gmo sources, as well.
The ingredient list is fairly long, but is comprised mostly of natural ingredients
CBDol Salve Ingredients
- Hemp Seed Oil,
- Olive Oil
- Coconut Oil
- Tea Tree
- Green Tea
- Grapefruit Seed
- USD Kosher Glycerin
- Bees Wax
While it’s highly reviewed, it does cost a decent amount of money. At $50.00/jar, it’s a luxury product for sure. That said, you shouldn’t need to use much.
Best CBD Salve | CBD Infused Salve
Blue Ridge Hemp Co. is another flag-bearing company in the CBD world. They’re based out of Asheville, North Carolina, and offer a variety of CBD products. This 2oz CBD Infused Salve contains 200mg CBD (compared to the 500mg in the other product we looked at). But you do also get more product with this one.
Both products come in at the same price, so if you think you need less CBD, go with this one. If you want a stronger concentration, go with CBDol Salve.
Blue Ridge Hemp Co. Salve also offers some other ingredients that are more akin to a classic muscle rub, while still offering a solid slate of natural ingredients. The key ingredients, as they call them, are listed below.
CBD Infused Salve Ingredients
- Mango Butter – Mango butter serves as the base of the Blue Ridge Hemp Co. Salve. It smooths, it softens, it.. well, that’s about it. But it’s a good base.
- Capsicum – You may have heard this term to describe hot sauce, and it’s the same thing. Applied topically it can provide a warming effect similar to common muscle creams
- Menthol Crystal – This component makes your skin feel cool, and provides a nice menthol scent that reminds you of old men.
- CBD Isolate – This is where the magic comes from.
We don’t have the time, and you don’t have the patience to go over the rest of the ingredients, but the rest are naturally-focused, and stack up well against the CBDol Salve we covered above.
Best CBD Salve | Picking the Winner
It’s hard to pick a winner here, considering that both Salves seem to be very high quality. It’s more picking one that we think we would be able to use for more applications. Because both products contain fragrant oils that make them less than ideal for facial application, we can rule that out as a metric.
The big thing for us is value. We think the the Blue Ridge CBD Salve offers a better value, but at the cost of less CBD. We think that if you’re starting out with a CBD Salve, the better option is the Blue Ridge Salve.
But if you try it, and find that it’s not working well enough, consider trying CBDol Salve. They’re both great options.
